Colour Modes (CMYK vs. RBG)

Colour Modes (CMYK vs. RBG)

Understanding colour modes helps ensure your printed materials look the way you expect.

CMYK (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Black)

  • The standard colour mode for printing.
  • Use CMYK when exporting print‑ready files.
  • Produces accurate colour output on printed materials.

RGB (Red, Green, Blue)

  • The colour mode for screens (monitors, phones, digital designs).
  • Files in RGB will be converted to CMYK for printing.
  • Some colours that appear bright or neon on screen may shift during conversion.

If your project requires precise colour matching, always design and export in CMYK.
