The CIBC Run for the Cure is the largest single-day, volunteer-led event in Canada. Participants walk or run 5 KM for this inspirational fundraiser that supports the breast cancer cause at the Canadian Cancer Society. As a National Official Sponsor, TPH, along with 82,000 Canadians, participated in 60 events across the country that raised an estimated 17 million dollars for those affected by this disease. TPH employees, friends and family have been proudly supporting the CIBC Run for the Cure since 2016.

In 1992, a small group of volunteers began a movement in Toronto’s High Park. That day they brought 1,500 people together to raise awareness and $85,000 for the breast cancer cause. This marked the beginning of what was to become Canada’s
largest single day, volunteer-led event in the support of creating a future without breast cancer the CIBC Run for the Cure.
The CIBC Run for the Cure began in 1997 as a trailblazing partnership between the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation (CBCF), CIBC and communities across the country. On February 1, 2017, CBCF and the Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) joined
forces under the CCS banner. Together, CCS, CIBC and thousands of dedicated Canadians will continue to raise vital funds for breast cancer through this signature event.
