Konkle, a graduate of University of Toronto in fine arts, has honed her skills by attending courses at the Ontario College of Art and Design, Sheridan Collage of Design, The Three Schools and York University. Her work has been exhibited with the Mississauga Sculpture Studio since 1989. She creates for the pleasure of visualizing concepts relative to her experience of the human condition.

Valerie is an integral part of Arctic Quest- a group of 25 artists passionate about the Canadian North. She fears the Polar Bear will become extinct is humans do not take action to slow the effects of global warming in the Arctic. Due to the lack of sea ice, Polar Bears must now swim for miles to find floes that are big enough to carry their weight while they search for food.
Valerie is a long standing member and past President of The Art Guild of Scarborough. |
