Anicolor Inking Technology
Anicolor is a "short" zoneless inking unit which consists of fewer rollers, and works with absolutely consistent volumes of ink throughout the entire print process.
-
The even application of an exactly defined volume of ink is achieved using a format-size anilox roller (giving the technology its name) situated between the ink chamber and the inking form roller. The inking form roller, which is also format-size, provides each printing element on the plate with the precise volume of ink required at any given time. Ink that is not used is fed back into the chamber by a doctor blade - a mechanism that prevents ink from building up in the inking unit even for complicated forms with extremely low or varying ink coverage.
